Alone in the
wilderness
Far from the
sea
It was dark
to the eye
And scary
for me
So I knelt
down and prayed
I was so
very afraid
Let God take
away my fear
On that
ground I stayed
Slept on
through the night
Waked to a glittering
light
It was the
sun on the sea
I knew then
I’d be alright
I was
surrounded by angels galore
Yet my heart
yearned for more
It was then
I saw her watching me from the shore
She was
someone I’d seen
Her eyes
blue her dress green
Her hair was
black as night
Face the
brightest I’ve ever seen
I began to
shake
And my heart
began to ache
She was here
in my dream
But then I
awake
I wish I
could slumber
From morning
until night
Never feel
alone
Or that
awful fright
But in the
morning I wake
And sooner or
later I might be
Alone in the
wilderness
I was far
from the sea
It was dark
to the eye
And scary
for me
So I knelt
down and prayed
I was so
very afraid
Let God take
away my fear
On that
ground I stayed
